Position Title: Senior Highway Engineering Manager

Location: Nashville, TN

Position Summary: The Senior Highway Engineering Manager is accountable for achieving all project goals related to assigned initiatives, including scope, timeline, and financial parameters.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee project timelines, financial budgets, receivables, and staffing needs while preparing billing statements.
  • Formulate Project Management strategies for designated initiatives.
  • Determine project pricing structures and financial plans.
  • Establish and uphold project timelines.
  • Create and sustain quality assurance plans specific to each project.
  • Define and coordinate project parameters.
  • Supervise subcontractors.
  • Engage in client presentations.
  • Lead and manage assigned personnel involved in projects.
  • Oversee all technical resources within the project team.
  • Develop requests for additional work orders and proposals for open-end contracts.
  • Collaborate with Section Heads, Office Managers, and Practice Leaders on marketing proposals.

Additional Responsibilities:

  • Execute other related tasks as required.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree from an ABET-accredited engineering program.
  • Professional Engineer License.
  • Over 10 years of experience in designing roadway and highway plans.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Certification in CAPM or PMP.
  • Experience collaborating with local governmental clients at both county and state levels.
  • Background in project management and business development.
  • Familiarity with various project delivery methods including Design-Bid-Build, Design-Build, and P3.
  • Experience in managing multidisciplinary project teams.

Work Environment:

The majority of work is conducted in a standard office setting, with approximately 95% of time spent in a sedentary capacity. The office environment is adequately lit and temperature-controlled, free from hazardous conditions such as excessive noise or dust.

Occasional fieldwork may be necessary, requiring adaptability to outdoor conditions that may vary in temperature and humidity. Some physical tasks, including lifting up to 25 lbs, may be necessary.
