**Job Summary:**

We are seeking a skilled Clinical Documentation Specialist to join our team at Chrysalis Psychiatry. As a key member of our healthcare staff, you will be responsible for preparing accurate and comprehensive medical records for patients.

The ideal candidate will have prior experience in a similar role, familiarity with electronic medical records, and strong attention to detail. A thorough understanding of medical terminology is also essential for success in this position.

Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records, including documentation of medical history, treatments, and test results.
  • Maintain knowledge of medical billing and coding guidelines to ensure accurate record-keeping.
  • Review and edit medical records for completeness and accuracy.
  • Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to gather information and clarify any discrepancies in patient records.
  • Aid in the preparation of prescriptions and notification of follow-up plans.
  • Assist with tasks such as prior authorizations and completion of FMLA and disability paperwork.

Qualifications:

  • Prior experience in a clinical documentation role or related field.
  • Familiarity with electronic medical records and medical terminology.
  • Strong organizational and communication skills.
  • Ability to work accurately and efficiently in a fast-paced environment.

Estimated Salary Range: $45,000 - $60,000 per year, depending on experience and qualifications.
