Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Specialist to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining, repairing, and installing equipment and utilities to support manufacturing and business operations.

Fundamental Duties
  • Perform routine scheduled and reactive maintenance on all production equipment.
  • Troubleshoot machines and systems independently, focusing on root cause analysis.
  • Set up and run production equipment for troubleshooting purposes.
  • Maintain equipment log utilizing a CMMS (FMX).
  • Work with administrative staff to keep inventory of replacement parts for production equipment.
  • Interact with machine manufacturers and Tech Support as needed.
  • Perform routine building maintenance and special projects.
  • Quickly react to equipment failures, with the ability to diagnose and repair in a timely fashion.
  • Perform routine Electrical, HVAC, Plumbing, Pneumatic, and Hydraulic repairs.
  • Perform all duties to OSHA, NEC, NFPA 70, or any necessary standards.
  • Fabricate custom parts for emergency repairs.
  • Operate forklift and Scissors lift as needed.
  • Support Emergency Response team when needed.
  • Collaborate with engineering & maintenance team to lead and execute project tasks.
  • Read basic schematics, blueprints, and various production meters.
  • Assist and work with production employees on tool change and set up issues.
  • Assemble, disassemble industrial equipment and machinery.
  • Recommend and execute measures to improve production equipment and metrics as part of a continuous improvement culture.
  • Assist outside contractors on site as needed.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
  • Maintain electrical and PLC repairs and projects.

  • Good organizational and communication skills.
  • Desire to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Working at heights and some heavy lifting required.
  • Carry a cell phone provided by company for urgent communications.
  • Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office, Word, Excel.
  • Knowledge/ability to learn a CMMS system (FMX).
  • Knowledge of AC/DC power, motors, and controls.
Minimum Qualifications Required
  • Qualified in one of the following:
  • Completed YEAR 4 of the Penn Foster Apprentice Program and pass the final test with better than 70%.
  • Technical degree/certification in Maintenance Electrical and/or Construction Technology.
  • 2 to 4 years of experience in industrial maintenance.
  • 3 years in the Facility Technician 1.4 position and completion of YEAR 1 & 2 of the Penn Foster Program.
  • Lockout tagout trained and qualified as a "Authorized" user.
  • Valid driver's license required as occasional trips to other buildings are necessary.
