About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Master Ammonia Refrigeration Technician to join our team at Willis Mechanical. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for performing preventative maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairing commercial and industrial refrigeration systems.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct thorough inspections of industrial refrigeration systems to identify potential issues and ensure optimal performance.
  • Perform routine maintenance tasks to prevent equipment failure and ensure system efficiency.
  • Diagnose and repair complex refrigeration system issues, utilizing your expertise and knowledge of ammonia refrigeration systems.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to ensure seamless communication and effective problem-solving.
  • Document all repair details and maintenance activities in accordance with company procedures.
  • Assist in maintaining a well-stocked inventory of parts and supplies to ensure timely equipment availability.
  • Ensure a safe working environment by adhering to all relevant health and safety regulations.
Requirements
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in refrigeration service with ammonia.
  • Graduation from a technical school or program in a relevant field, or equivalent certifications (CARO and CIRO).
  • Ability to inspect equipment, identify potential problems, and take corrective action.
  • Capacity to troubleshoot and perform repairs independently.
  • Pass a physical examination and respirator fit testing.
  • Availability to be on call on nights and weekends, as needed.
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills.
  • Basic technical skills and proficiency in using computers and electronic systems.
  • Organized, self-motivated, and strong work ethic.
What We Offer

Willis Mechanical provides a vehicle, fuel card, and uniforms. Experienced Ammonia Refrigeration Technicians receive paid holidays and three weeks of Paid Time Off. The company also offers health, dental, and vision insurance, as well as access to the Willis Mechanical 401K program.

Work Environment

This is a full-time position, working 8 hours/day, Monday through Friday. Day travel to new customers and job sites is expected.
