Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Pastry Cook II to join our culinary team at Surf & Sand Resort. As a Pastry Cook II, you will assist the Pastry Chef in the preparation, production, and plating of all pastry items for our restaurants and banquets.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist the Pastry Chef in the preparation and production of all pastry items
  • Ensure timely delivery of pastry items to our restaurants and banquets
  • Monitor daily forecasts and ensure advance prep needs are met
  • Assist with ordering food supplies for pastry outlets
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area
  • Communicate guest requests to supervisors in a timely and professional manner
  • Utilize FIFO to minimize waste and spoilage
Requirements
  • Basic English language skills and ability to follow verbal directions
  • Basic knowledge of production and operations in kitchen areas
  • Familiarity with proper use and maintenance of kitchen equipment and machinery
  • Hotel experience preferred

Physical Demands

Long periods of standing and carrying items upstairs. Bends, stoops, reaches, pushes, pulls, and lifts to perform routine job tasks. Frequently required to handle and move objects weighing up to 30 lbs. over short to moderate distances.
