Clinical Support Specialist

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Patient Support Associate to join our team at Prisma Health. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional patient care and support.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist with Patient Care: Provide routine assistive tasks to support patients with their basic needs, under the supervision of a Registered Nurse.
- Personal Hygiene and Nutrition: Assist patients with bathing, washing hair, brushing teeth and hair, and washing hands, as well as assist with feeding, drinking, and setting up meal trays.
- Ambulation and Elimination: Assist patients with ambulation, including dangling, walking, and using assistive devices, as well as meet patients' needs related to elimination, including assisting with the bathroom and accurately monitoring inputs and outputs.
- Vital Signs and Reporting: Accurately complete and document patient vital signs, including assessing blood pressure, pulse, temperature, heart rate, and oxygenation via pulse ox or ETC02, and report abnormal values to the Registered Nurse.
Requirements:
- Education: High School Diploma or equivalent preferred, with completion of a Nursing Assistant or Medical Assistant course.
- Experience: Previous nursing assistant, medical assistant, or related experience preferred, with one year of hospital clerical experience preferred.
- Certifications: Current CPR Heartsaver required, with Basic Life Support, Heartsaver certification or higher preferred.
Work Environment:
This is a non-management role that will report to a supervisor, manager, director, or executive. The work environment is a hospital setting, with a focus on providing exceptional patient care and support.
