Testing Assistant

The Testing Assistant will provide critical support to the Lee College Testing Center Coordinator by administering a range of standardized tests while maintaining test security. This role requires excellent communication skills, both oral and written, as well as the ability to work collaboratively with faculty, administrators, and other staff members.
Key Responsibilities- Test Administration: Administer and proctor a variety of computerized and non-computerized exams, including TSI Assessment, ATB, HESI, VCT, proctored exams, instructor exams, NHA, and accommodated testing for Lee College students and community.
- Test Scheduling: Assist the Testing Coordinator in maintaining a test schedule of approximately fifty (50) hours of testing each week for complete coverage.
- Customer Service: Answer phones, schedule test appointments as needed, and greet students/faculty/guests.
- Data Entry: Retrieve and enter student's TSI scores and documentation of PAA completion into PeopleSoft.
- Record Keeping: Maintain records and test security/confidentiality of student records.
- Troubleshooting: Troubleshoot and report issues with testing facilities, software, hardware, computer-related problems, and various testing vendors' products and services.
- Training and Supervision: Assist with training and supervising part-time test assistants and student workers.
- Departmental Support: Assist advisors and other departments as needed.
- Financial Transactions: Post fees, reverse fees, and request refunds as needed.
- Travel: Occasional travel to local area high schools or other off-campus sites to administer testing.
- Special Testing Needs: Assist and support faculty with special testing needs.
- Professional Development: Stay current with testing methods to meet college, student, faculty, and community needs.
- Center Maintenance: Maintain a welcoming, aesthetically pleasing appearance in the Testing Center for students, faculty, and staff.
- Current Employee: Must be a current full-time or part-time employee of Lee College.
- Education: Associate's (or higher) degree or successful completion of sixty (60) college credit hours.
- Experience: Three (3) years of related work experience which may include office setting, student affairs, and/or customer service.
- Certification: Must currently hold or be eligible to hold a certification with Pearson VUE.
- Skills: Excellent computer skills, excellent communication skills, both oral and written, and the ability to work collaboratively with faculty, administrators, and other staff members.
