We are seeking a skilled Construction Project Estimator to join our team at JLM Strategic Talent Partners. As a key member of our infrastructure project staffing team, you will be responsible for quantifying elements of construction using PDF plans, 2D CAD files, and 3D models.
The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of previous administrative experience in engineering and/or civil construction work. They will thrive in a fast-paced and team-oriented environment, with a strong attention to detail and excellent communication skills.
Key responsibilities will include:
- Assisting estimators by quantifying elements of construction using PDF plans, 2D CAD files, and 3D models
- Generating earthwork volumes using PDF plans or 3D models
- Creating spreadsheets to calculate, compare, and summarize quantities of construction materials
- Reviewing contract documents, including drawings and specifications
- Completing takeoffs utilizing partially complete or in-progress design documents
