Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Occupational Therapist to join our team at the Child and Adolescent Behavioral Health Hospital in Willmar. As an Occupational Therapist, you will play a critical role in providing mental health services to children, adolescents, and young adults with serious behavioral and emotional conditions.

Key Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with the rehabilitation director and other occupational therapists to develop and implement evidence-based occupational therapy services.
  • Plan and implement occupational therapy interventions based on client goals, current best practices, and clinical reasoning.
  • Provide specialized interventions that build skills and motivation for recovery and relapse prevention, including the use of music, drumming, yoga, art, sensory strategies, and animal-assisted interventions.
  • Document all occupational therapy services provided per policy and procedure.
  • Evaluate the functional abilities and occupational participation of clients using standardized and non-standardized tests.
Requirements
  • Licensure to practice occupational therapy in the state of Minnesota or eligibility to obtain licensure.
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in occupational therapy from an accredited program or Master's degree in occupational therapy from an accredited program with at least 6 months of professional experience.
  • At least 18 months of professional, post-licensure occupational therapy experience for the Occupational Therapist Senior position.
