Job Summary

The Gerontology Institute at UMass Boston is seeking a highly skilled Senior Research Associate to join its team. As a key member of the LeadingAge LTSS Center, you will be responsible for conducting research and analysis to advance innovation and quality improvements in policy and practice related to long-term services and supports (LTSS).

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and initiate new research projects, including designing competitive proposals and managing projects from start to finish.
  • Conduct research and analysis, including data collection, management, and statistical analysis, to inform policy and practice decisions.
  • Collaborate with researchers and stakeholders to advance the mission of the LTSS Center and Institute.
  • Develop and submit publications, blogs, webinars, and other dissemination activities to publicize research findings.
  • Provide project management support for various research initiatives and manage specific research projects independently.
Requirements
  • Ph.D. in a social science field and a minimum of 5-7 years of relevant work experience.
  • Strong quantitative research methods and skills, including data analysis and statistical software proficiency.
  • Experience with project management, research, and demonstrated ability to work independently.
  • Proficiency in administrative software applications, including Microsoft Office.
  • Knowledge of and demonstrated competence in project management.
