Position Overview: Senior IT Trainer

In the role of Senior IT Trainer at Goodwin, you will be instrumental in orchestrating and executing Information Technology training for attorneys and professional staff. You will report directly to the Director of Service Desk & Training Operations and will work in close collaboration with the Human Resources and Learning + Professional Development teams.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Facilitate training sessions on firm-supported software using diverse methods such as instructor-led classes, webinars, and personalized coaching.
  • Conduct technical training for new hires.
  • Collaborate with fellow IT trainers to design and update a curriculum that aligns with operational workflows.
  • Develop engaging and innovative training methodologies that meet learning objectives.
  • Actively participate in firm-wide projects to represent user experience from inception through implementation.
  • Assess training needs, identify performance gaps, and recommend effective training solutions.
  • Work with internal stakeholders to tailor training solutions to meet specific needs.
  • Stay updated on the latest trends in training, technology, and instructional design.
  • Maintain precise training records within the Learning Management System.
  • Take on additional responsibilities as required.
  • Travel to various firm locations to provide on-site training as necessary.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent professional experience.
  • Experience in training and development, ideally within a professional services environment focused on legal practices.
  • A minimum of five years' experience in delivering technical training and developing related documentation.
  • Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage a diverse audience professionally.
  • Strong organizational, analytical, and deadline management skills, whether working independently or collaboratively.
  • Familiarity with various software systems including Learning Management, Document Management, Microsoft Office, Adobe Acrobat, and others.
  • Expertise in eLearning development.
  • Willingness to work beyond standard hours when necessary.
