Overview

The Post Oak Hotel is seeking a skilled Barista to deliver exceptional guest experiences. We value passionate and professional colleagues who create memorable moments through authentic interactions.

Responsibilities

  • Greet guests warmly and provide a welcoming atmosphere
  • Take drink orders and adhere to service policies regarding alcohol
  • Know the menu and explain menu items, ingredients, and preparation methods to guests
  • Coordinate with the kitchen staff to ensure timely and accurate orders
  • Serve food and beverages promptly and efficiently, ensuring presentation and accuracy
  • Check on guests during their stay to ensure satisfaction and address requests/concerns
  • Handle guest complaints or concerns professionally and escalate issues to management
  • Collaborate with fellow baristas to ensure seamless service
  • Comply with federal and state laws, including FLSA tip regulations regarding tip reporting

Qualifications

  • Embody our values of passion, excellence, relevance, collaboration, and integrity
  • High School diploma or equivalent
  • 1-3 years of restaurant experience
  • Ability to safely and professionally carry food and beverage trays
  • Previous hotel experience, luxury or Forbes experience preferred
  • Ability to work flexible schedules, including nights, weekends, and holidays
  • Physical demands: Ability to lift 50 pounds regularly and stand for extended periods
