Customer Service Specialist Position at Big Y

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Oversee checkout transactions and customer interactions to reduce product loss.
  • Identify and resolve technical challenges while keeping the Customer Service Manager informed.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Exhibit strong organizational and interpersonal capabilities.
  • Collaborate effectively with colleagues to meet operational objectives.
  • Accurately manage cash registers and financial transactions.
  • Provide technical assistance to customers as needed.
  • Ensure adherence to company policies and procedures.
  • Must be at least 18 years old.

CORE FUNCTIONS:

  • Deliver outstanding customer service and foster a satisfying shopping environment.
  • Work alongside team members to enhance the customer experience.
  • Supervise the workflow of customer service staff and manage self-checkout operations.
  • Partner with management to achieve operational targets.
  • Detect and prevent theft and unusual transactions.
  • Promote continuous improvement and innovative practices.
  • Comply with regulatory standards and company policies regarding employment, safety, and sanitation.
  • Implement loss prevention strategies and protocols.
  • Complete all required training promptly.
