About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Certified Substance Abuse Counselor and/or Licensed Substance Abuse Treatment Practitioner to join our team at Transitions, The Process of Change.

As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for implementing effective treatment plans for clients in individual or group settings. Your expertise and compassion will play a critical role in helping clients achieve their goals and overcome substance abuse challenges.

Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement comprehensive treatment plans using ASAM criteria.
  • Counsel and advise individuals or groups struggling with substance abuse issues.
  • Establish treatment goals and milestones with clients, ensuring their progress and well-being.
  • Prepare thorough progress reports and letters for relevant parties.
  • Educate families and groups on substance abuse treatments and prevention programs.
  • Facilitate referrals to other healthcare professionals as needed.
Qualifications:
  • CSAC Certification and/or State Licensure required.
  • Previous experience in counseling, social work, or related fields preferred.
  • A compassionate and caring demeanor is essential for building strong relationships with clients.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills are necessary for success in this role.
Salary and Benefits
