Treatment Specialist Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Certified Substance Abuse Counselor and/or Licensed Substance Abuse Treatment Practitioner to join our team at Transitions, The Process of Change.

In this role, you will work closely with clients to develop personalized treatment plans that address their unique needs and challenges. Your expertise and empathy will help clients navigate the recovery process and achieve their goals.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Conduct thorough assessments and develop treatment plans using ASAM criteria.
  2. Provide one-on-one counseling and support to clients struggling with substance abuse issues.
  3. Collaborate with clients to establish treatment goals and milestones, ensuring their progress and well-being.
  4. Prepare detailed progress reports and letters for relevant parties.
  5. Educate families and groups on substance abuse treatments and prevention strategies.
  6. Facilitate referrals to other healthcare professionals as needed.
Requirements:
  • CSAC Certification and/or State Licensure required.
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in counseling, social work, or related fields.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Able to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Compensation and Benefits

The estimated annual salary for this position is $65,000-$85,000, depending on qualifications and experience. We offer a comprehensive benefits package, including health insurance, paid time off, and opportunities for professional growth and development.
