Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Crewperson 5 - Site Maintenance to join our team at Wichita Public Schools. The successful candidate will be responsible for performing a variety of tasks related to site maintenance, including heavy equipment operation, concrete work, and playground installation.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Operate heavy equipment, such as dump trucks and cranes, to perform tasks related to site maintenance.
  • Perform concrete work, including pouring and patching, to ensure the integrity of school facilities.
  • Install and repair playground equipment, fencing, and asphalt.
  • Assist with earth moving operations and relocating industrial arts equipment.
  • Perform routine maintenance and servicing of equipment to ensure optimal performance.
  • Work collaboratively with other team members to achieve project goals and deadlines.
Requirements:
  • A High School Education or GED equivalent is preferred.
  • A CDL class A driver's license is required or must be obtained within 90 days of employment.
  • Experience in pouring/patching concrete, sandblasting, installing and repairing parking lots, installing and repairing playground equipment, asphalt repair, fencing, and various earth moving operations is preferred.
Working Conditions:

The successful candidate will be required to work in a variety of environments, including extreme heat and cold, and may be exposed to hazardous materials. The ability to work in confined or high spaces, and to lift 40-80 lbs, is essential.
