Job Summary

The Assistant Clinical Research Coordinator plays a vital role in the operational management of clinical research activities, from design to closeout. This position is responsible for coordinating research activities for one or more studies, prioritizing tasks to meet deadlines, and ensuring adherence to study protocols and regulations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Coordinate research activities for one or more studies, including compliant conduct, financial management, and personnel support.
  • Collaborate with the Principal Investigator, ancillary departments, and external entities to support the administration of studies.
  • Develop and maintain administrative and regulatory files, and balance tasks to ensure deadlines are met.
  • Communicate effectively with patients, staff, and external collaborators, and establish and maintain cooperative working relationships.
  • Assess clinical research protocols and regulatory requirements, and develop solutions to ensure compliance.
  • Work in a fast-paced environment, handling confidential information with discretion and adapting to changing job demands and priorities.
Requirements
  • Minimum of 1+ years of experience in a clinical research setting.
  • Interpersonal skills to effectively communicate and establish working relationships.
  • Ability to communicate with patients in a compassionate and kind manner.
  • Ability to set priorities and complete tasks with competing deadlines.
  • Analytical skills to assess clinical research protocols and regulatory requirements.
  • Close attention to detail to ensure accuracy in a fast-paced environment.
  • Organization skills to create and maintain administrative and regulatory files.
  • Demonstrated proficiency with Adobe and Microsoft suite software.
  • Knowledge of and experience working with local and external IRBs, scientific review committees, and national cooperative group sponsors.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree.
