Nocturnist Physician

Position Overview

Fairview Health Services is actively seeking a full-time Board Certified/Board Eligible Internal Medicine (preferred) or Family Medicine Nocturnist Physician to become a vital member of the Hospital Medicine team at our facility.

• FTE: 1.0
• Collaborate with a supportive group of over 20 hospitalists
• Manage an average of 5-7 admissions per shift
• Participate in a resident physician-led rapid response team and code response
• Shift Hours: 9pm-9am
• Remote cross-cover assistance available until midnight
• Admissions assistance provided until 1am
• Two Nocturnists scheduled per shift
• Our facility is a 184-bed community hospital offering a comprehensive range of diagnostic and therapeutic services, including innovative technologies such as an intensivist program and 24-hour in-house obstetrics coverage.
• We are affiliated with the University of Minnesota's Family Medicine & Community Health residency program.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited ACGME/AOA Internal Medicine or Family Medicine residency training program
• Board Certified/Board Eligible with the ABMS
• Licensed or eligible for licensure with the Minnesota Board of Medical Practice
• Ability to obtain and/or maintain DEA certification for the State of Minnesota
• Meet the necessary criteria for Credentialing and Privileges
