Are you a skilled Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant looking for a challenging and rewarding career opportunity? We invite you to join our dynamic inpatient nocturnist team in Winston-Salem, North Carolina, as an Advanced Practice Provider.

Work in a Supportive & Collaborative Environment

As an Advanced Practice Provider within the Atrium Health Wake Forest system, you'll be an integral part of a dedicated healthcare team, collaborating with physicians, nurses, case managers, specialists, and clinical pharmacists to ensure safe and effective patient care during hospital stays and upon discharge.

Responsibilities
  1. Respond to and manage any Rapid Responses or Codes.
  2. Assess patients and develop appropriate plans as needed for any acute events or changes in patient status.
  3. Coordinate with nursing staff and respond to questions/concerns as needed.
  4. Provide appropriate hand-off/sign-out at the conclusion of their shift to the day team.
  5. Perform procedural skills per department or practice guidelines.
  6. Participate in basic science and clinical research projects.
  7. Precept students and/or medical learners.
  8. Uphold Atrium Health Wake Forest Baptist's missions, values, and cultural commitment.
Requirements
  • Graduation from an accredited Physician Assistant Program; Master's Degree preferred.
  • Current North Carolina Medical Board Medical License, Certified by NCCPA.
  • Prior inpatient experience required.
  • BLS and ACLS required.
  • Graduation from accredited Nurse Practitioner Master's Program, Masters degree or higher required.
  • Current North Carolina Board of Nursing Registered Nurse and Nurse Practitioner license.
  • Board certified as an Adult-Gerontology Acute Care Nurse Practitioner by AANP or ANCC required.
  • Prior inpatient experience required.
  • BLS and ACLS required.
