Medical Service Provider

As a Physician Assistant at Great Lakes Bay, you will provide high-quality medical services to patients according to established protocols. You will be authorized to provide medical care without direct supervision, but will consult with a Physician for situations beyond your scope of experience. The Supervising Physician retains ultimate responsibility for patient care.
Key Responsibilities
Obtain and record accurate medical histories
Perform and document physical examinations
Initiate laboratory, radiologic, and other tests as needed for patient evaluation
Interpret diagnostic study results under the direction of a supervising physician
Develop and document treatment plans, including health maintenance and preventive services
Perform procedures for which you are qualified by training and/or experience
Additional Responsibilities
Participate in a team-based approach to care in the Patient Centered Medical Home (PCMH)
Engage in activities related to Quality Improvement
Provide leadership and mentoring to non-physician providers at the site
Requirements
Evidence of completion from an accredited Physician Assistant Program
Current licensure as a PA in the State of Michigan and a Federal DEA Schedule II License
