Job Summary

Pilgrim's is seeking a highly skilled Poultry Production Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for monitoring bird mortality, feed conversion, sizing, and scheduling.

Key Responsibilities
  • Act as a liaison between Pilgrim's and contract growers, monitoring house conditions and providing recommendations to improve bird performance and reduce costs.
  • Monitor husbandry practices by growers and make recommendations to enhance bird health and productivity.
  • Track, record, and analyze bird mortality rates to identify areas for improvement.
  • Maintain feed tank inventories and order feed as needed to ensure optimal bird nutrition.
  • May schedule and train other employees to ensure seamless operations.
Requirements
  • Typically requires a Bachelor's degree in Poultry Science or a related field.
  • Greater than 2 up to 5 years of directly related experience, or equivalent experience considered in lieu of educational requirement.
  • Current driver's license and good driving record.
