We are currently in search of a Full-Time 2nd Shift Warehouse Supervisor for our growing Electrical Supplies division.
Training Schedule: Monday - Friday from 9:30 AM – 6:00 PM with a 30-minute lunch break.
Future Schedule: Monday - Friday from 11:30 AM – 8:00 PM with a 30-minute lunch break.
This role involves overseeing and coordinating the activities of staff engaged in ordering, receiving, storing, managing inventory, issuing, and shipping materials, supplies, tools, equipment, and parts within a warehouse environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design the layout of the warehouse and storage areas, taking into account the turnover rates, size, weight, and other relevant factors of the items stored.
- Guide employees on the proper care and preservation of items received, stored, and shipped, as well as the methods and equipment used in handling and maintaining stock.
- Analyze inventory records and recommend actions for non-usable, slow-moving, and excess stock.
- Ensure accuracy of records and compliance with established procedures to maintain adequate stock levels.
- Organize work schedules for special and periodic inventories.
- Investigate discrepancies between inventory and stock control records and suggest corrective actions.
- Establish work procedures, prepare schedules, and enhance workflow efficiency.
- Provide written and verbal instructions to staff.
- Delegate tasks and evaluate work for accuracy, neatness, and adherence to policies.
- Review and standardize procedures to boost the efficiency of team members.
- Foster a positive work environment and address any employee grievances.
- Compile reports from individual contributions of team members.
- Resolve errors and address complaints.
This position directly supervises all warehouse personnel and entails carrying out supervisory responsibilities in line with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training staff; planning, assigning, and directing work; evaluating performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; and resolving issues.

Requirements:

- The physical demands of this job include frequent standing, walking, and using hands for various tasks. Occasional sitting, reaching, climbing, stooping, kneeling, and talking or hearing may also be required. The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 10 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds, and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
