About the Role:
Satterfield & Pontikes is seeking a highly skilled Safety Specialist to join our Dallas team. As a key member of our safety team, you will be responsible for ensuring the health and safety of our employees and subcontractors on our Dallas ISD projects.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct regular safety-related meetings and presentations to employees and subcontractors.
- Review and analyze accident and incident investigation reports to ensure completeness and accuracy.
- Publish lessons learned from near misses, accidents, and incidents to promote a culture of safety.
- Oversee walk-through inspections at project sites, providing technical guidance and expertise to project managers and superintendents.
- Conduct comprehensive reviews of sites to ensure compliance with OSHA and other regulatory agency standards and company policies.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for OSHA and other safety regulatory agencies.
- Develop and implement programs to monitor subcontractor safety performance.
- Attend job sites regularly to ensure compliance with safety protocols.
Requirements:
- 1+ years of experience in safety with a commercial general contractor.
