Job Overview

Pueo Business Solutions is seeking an experienced Expert Windows Infrastructure Specialist to join our team in a lab environment. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing, implementing, and managing Windows virtual machines within the Intelligence Community.

**Key Responsibilities:**

  • Design and implement Windows virtual machines in a lab environment
  • Participate in the planning of infrastructure on-site in VMWare, suggesting strategies based on new and emerging technologies
  • Install, configure, and secure Internet Information Services on Windows servers
  • Take ownership of issues, collaborating with other teams and leads to resolve issues in a timely manner
  • Perform routine system maintenance and resolve server-side/client-side issues as they arise
  • Document system configurations, processes, and procedures, as well as maintain and update existing documentation as needed
  • Mentor other team members in Linux best practices, providing guidance and support when necessary

**Required Qualifications:**

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, or related field, or equivalent work experience
  • 12+ years of professional experience in system engineering with a focus on Microsoft Windows Server environments
  • Current DoD 8570 Requirement: IAT III Certification or the ability to acquire one within a 6-month grace period
  • Deep understanding of Windows Server technologies, Active Directory, Group Policy, and associated management tools
  • Strong experience in PowerShell scripting or other Windows automation tools
  • Experience installing, configuring, and securing IIS on Windows Servers
  • Demonstrated knowledge of network protocols, infrastructure services, and security configurations
  • Experience with virtualization technologies such as VMware or Microsoft Hyper-V
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with a track record of delivering complex projects successfully

**Preferred Qualifications:**

  • Certifications relevant to Windows or cloud computing technologies
  • Knowledge and experience with Windows virtual machines in a VMWare environment
  • Expert knowledge and experience with automating Windows installations
  • Experience operating in a team environment, collaborating in Agile practices, and operating in Sprints or following Scrum/Kanban management processes
