Job Overview

At Defense Innovation Unit, we are seeking highly qualified and motivated contracting officers to join our Immersive Commercial Acquisition Program (ICAP). As a mid to senior level professional, you will be responsible for leveraging your technical contracting expertise to drive innovation in the defense industry.

The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of commercial acquisition principles and practices, as well as excellent communication and collaboration skills. If you are a permanent government civilian (GS-13/14 or NH-03/04 1102 series) or active component military contracting officer (O-4/O-5), we encourage you to apply.

As an ICAP fellow, you will participate in a 12-month rotation that combines virtual collaboration with hands-on training. This unique opportunity will enable you to develop new skills, build relationships with industry partners, and contribute to the development of innovative solutions for the defense community.

Key responsibilities will include:

  • Developing and executing commercial acquisition strategies
  • Maintaining strong relationships with industry partners and stakeholders
  • Providing expert guidance on commercial acquisition best practices

We offer a competitive salary package, including an estimated $124,000 - $168,000 per year, depending on location and experience.
