About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Contracting Officer to join our team at Defense Innovation Unit. As a member of our Immersive Commercial Acquisition Program (ICAP), you will play a key role in driving innovation and excellence in commercial acquisition practices.

This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who wants to leverage their technical contracting expertise to make a meaningful contribution to the defense community. The successful candidate will possess a strong understanding of commercial acquisition principles and practices, as well as excellent communication and collaboration skills.

Key responsibilities will include developing and executing commercial acquisition strategies, maintaining strong relationships with industry partners and stakeholders, and providing expert guidance on commercial acquisition best practices. We also encourage applicants with relevant experience working in the defense industry or with a focus on commercial acquisition.

The ICAP fellowship is a 12-month program that includes virtual collaboration and hands-on training. During this time, you will have the opportunity to develop new skills, build relationships with industry partners, and contribute to the development of innovative solutions for the defense community.

We offer a competitive salary package, including an estimated $128,000 - $172,000 per year, depending on location and experience.
