Job Summary

We are seeking a reliable and skilled Part Time Raw Milk Transporter to join our team at Dairy Farmers of America. As a Raw Milk Hauler, you will be responsible for transporting raw milk from farm to processing plant or trucking terminal, adhering to all safety practices and regulations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Operate a commercial motor vehicle in compliance with DOT and DFA rules, regulations, and policies.
  • Follow dispatch schedule and directions from dispatch and location supervisory personnel to transport raw milk.
  • Transfer raw milk from farm containers to trailer.
  • Take quality and control samples at farm.
  • Measure milk loaded into trailer and apply seals properly.
  • Document seal numbers to paperwork to ensure traceability and security of load.
  • Follow designated routes and schedules unless otherwise directed by supervisory personnel.
  • Minimize truck idle times and conserve fuel consumption.
  • Maintain positive communications with producers and report issues or potential problems to transportation and member services management.
Requirements
  • High School Diploma or GED or equivalent preferred.
  • Current CDL (Class A) in state of residence and tanker endorsement.
  • Minimum of 1-year verifiable CDL driving experience (military experience does count towards this requirement).
  • Ability to communicate effectively in the English language both orally and in writing.
  • Basic math skills (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division).
  • Ability to read and record accurate volume and weight measurement.
  • Good organization and record keeping skills.
  • Punctuality.
