Job Summary

We are seeking a reliable and skilled Part Time Raw Milk Transporter to join our team at Dairy Farmers of America. As a Raw Milk Hauler, you will be responsible for transporting raw milk from our St Albans Farm to our processing plant or trucking terminal.

Key Responsibilities
  • Operate a commercial motor vehicle in compliance with DOT and DFA rules, regulations and policies adhering to all safety practices
  • Follow dispatch schedule and directions from dispatch and location supervisory personnel, travels to location to transport raw milk
  • Transfer raw milk from farm containers to trailer
  • Take quality and control samples at farm
  • Measure milk loaded into trailer
  • Apply seals properly and document seal numbers to paperwork to ensure traceability and security of load
  • Follow designated routes and schedules unless otherwise directed by supervisory personnel
  • Take measures to minimize truck idle times and conserve fuel consumption
  • Maintain positive communications with producers, listens for issues or potential problems, reports producers' comments to transportation and member services management
  • Always represents DFA positively and professionally during interactions with producers, customers, or regulatory personnel
Requirements
  • High School Diploma or GED or equivalent preferred
  • Must have a current CDL (Class A) in state of residence. Must have, or be able to obtain, a tanker endorsement.
  • Minimum of 1-year verifiable CDL driving experience (military experience does count towards this requirement)
  • Must be at least 21 years of age.
  • Must meet all DOT requirements.
