Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Critical Care Registered Nurse to join our team at Northern Arizona Healthcare. As a Critical Care Registered Nurse, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care in our Intensive Care Unit (ICU).

Key Responsibilities
  • Patient Assessment and Care
    • Assess the needs and conditions of assigned patients by gathering relevant patient health information.
    • Identify outcomes, develop a plan of care individualized to the patient and/or situation, and implement the identified plan appropriate for the attainment of the expected outcomes.
    • Assess patient's progress toward the attainment of outcomes and effectively revises/updates diagnoses, outcomes and plans of care as appropriate.
  • Collaboration and Communication
    • Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive patient care.
    • Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members to ensure seamless care coordination.
  • Education and Professional Development
    • Participate in creating and sustaining a learning environment supported by evidence-based practice and research.
    • Focus on personal development areas, engaging in professional/collegial interactions with peers and students.
  • Compliance and Safety
    • Adhere to regulatory and organizational standards affecting patient care and safety as well as all hospital and departmental policies and procedures.
    • Practice in a safe, high-quality, and cost-effective manner.
Requirements
  • Education
    • RNs hired on or after 7/1/2016: Must graduate from a BSN program within 6 years of hire into an RN position.
    • Existing Staff RNs: RNs hired before 7/1/2016 are not mandated to have a BSN, but are encouraged to pursue a BSN degree.
  • Certification and Licensures
    • Active, unrestricted, Arizona RN License or valid, participating compact license - Required
    • BLS - Required
    • ACLS - Required
    • ATCN or TNCC - Required within 18 months of hire
    • NIHSS - Required within 30 days of hire
    • CCRN - Preferred
