We are in search of a Technical Consultant to be a vital member of our Customer Success Public Sector team. In this capacity, you will interact with clients after the sales process to create software solutions utilizing the Appian platform. These applications are designed to facilitate digital transformation and enhance competitive advantages. Your main duties will involve overseeing the entire project lifecycle, from defining and designing to developing and implementing tailored software solutions on Appian's low-code platform for our commercial clientele. This role requires working in an agile setting to comprehend our clients' business workflows and technical requirements, launching new relational data models into production, and developing APIs for system integration. You will also work alongside clients' technical teams and business stakeholders throughout the software development lifecycle, empowering them to independently build process applications.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with clients to outline business workflows and gather functional and technical system specifications.
  • Exhibit excellent communication skills, a passion for technology, and a commitment to continuous learning, while demonstrating a problem-solving mindset.
  • Demonstrate a successful track record in cross-functional teams, with experience in product development using agile methodologies, including pair programming and sprint planning.
  • Possess a foundational understanding of object-oriented programming, relational databases, and SQL skills, including query writing and data modeling.
  • Familiarity with software testing methodologies, API integrations (REST and SOAP), and cloud services such as AWS, AI, and Machine Learning is preferred.

Basic Qualifications:

  • U.S. Citizenship is required for candidates applying for Public Sector roles.
  • A minimum of 1 year of hands-on experience in software development or technical consulting.
  • A degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, Mathematics, or a related field.
  • Willingness to travel occasionally to support client engagements.
  • Possession of a government-sponsored clearance at the Secret level and readiness to work in a secure environment.
