Job Summary

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented individual to support the SBPS Department & DrPH Program in meeting the academic and administrative needs of advanced-level DrPH students.

Key Responsibilities
  • Track student progress through the Applied Practice Experience (APE) and Integrated Learning Experience (ILE) processes
  • Coordinate with APE/ILE professors of record to set up Canvas sites and maintain necessary documentation
  • Assist with formal-signature tracking and ensure all APE/ILE student-steps are completed
  • Work closely with the DrPH Academic Advisor and DrPH Program Manager to ensure APE/ILE completions are recognized in the degree audit and by the Registrar
  • Contribute to the timely graduation of DrPH students
  • Integrate various essential functions to support the broader goals of the SBPS Department & DrPH Program
  • Manage the creation of a database of DrPH APE site placements, preceptor information, and DrPH alumni
  • Source and manage the SBPS & DrPH Speaker Series, ensuring all events have a robust virtual component and managing logistical aspects
  • Assist SBPS faculty and students with the Concur Travel & Reimbursement platform
Requirements
  • Demonstrated mastery of basic software applications (e.g. Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Adobe Acrobat)
  • Demonstrated mastery of cloud/online software applications (e.g. Zoom, MS Teams, Box Drive, Google Drive, One SharePoint)
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to deal diplomatically with people from various internal and external constituencies
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills, with a great attention to detail
  • Effective judgement and ability to discern priorities when managing multiple activities with deadlines
  • Proven ability to work autonomously and collaboratively, with a proactive approach to seeking managerial support when required
  • Proven ability to build and maintain relationships with individuals from diverse backgrounds
  • Bachelor's Degree and two years' experience related to program coordination and/or project & event management, or equivalent combination of education and experience
Preferred Qualifications
  • Two or more years of administrative experience within a post-secondary, academic institution
  • Familiarity with Public Health as a field, either through degree attainment or work experience
  • Proficiency with systems in use at Tulane University
