Job Title: Director Operations NNEST-PC

Overview

Dartmouth-Hitchcock Health seeks a highly skilled Director of Operations for the Center of Northern New England Systems Transformation for Primary Care (NNEST-PC). The successful candidate will provide leadership and oversight for the fiscal management and strategy of operations for NNEST-PC, driving innovation and transformation in primary care.

Responsibilities
  • Leadership and Oversight
    • Provide strategic direction and oversight for NNEST-PC operations, ensuring quality and success of endeavors.
    • Convene and collaborate with leaders in patient care, research, policy, and education to advance primary care transformation.
  • Team Management
    • Lead efforts to ensure effective team dynamics and teamwork, maximizing productivity, staff satisfaction, and minimizing turnover.
    • Collaborate with staff and leadership to ensure timelines and financial goals are met.
  • Process Improvement
    • Initiate, lead, develop, and implement process improvement efforts across coverage area.
    • Develop and implement process improvements and guidelines, subject to institutional guidelines.
  • Financial Management
    • Monitor and analyze metrics for workload volume, productivity, utilization, and other metrics to ensure projects are conducted with optimal efficiency.
    • Manage budget and quality adherence in operations for NNEST-PC.
  • Staff Development
    • Initiate, lead, develop, and implement efforts including training, staff development, process improvements, quality management, and other initiatives for NNEST-PC.
  • Collaboration and Communication
    • Collaborate with Faculty Leaders, Directors, Managers, and other functional group key representatives.
    • Convene regular advisory committee meetings for NNEST-PC, presenting proposed protocols and making divisional decisions.
  • Fundraising and Resource Development
    • Seek grant funding and philanthropy to support the work of NNEST-PC.
  • Leadership Resource
    • Provide leadership resource for staff and cross-functional personnel regarding operational aspects of NNEST-PC.
  • Communication and Website Development
    • Develop website and communication tools and strategies.
    • Oversee project communications via websites and written materials for partners, sponsors, and governmental agencies.
  • Operational Assessments
    • Develop budgets and perform operational assessments of Investigator Initiated protocols for NNEST-PC.
Qualifications
  • Master's degree with 5 years of experience in primary care operations and strategy, or the equivalent experience required.
  • Prior experience supervising staff required.
  • Prior policy experience at the regional and national level preferred.
  • Prior research design and implementation experience preferred.
  • Excellent written and oral communications skills, including ability to speak in front of groups required.
  • Ability to interact productively in a wide variety of situations, and command the respect and confidence of board members, faculty, and staff required.
  • Knowledge of computer databases and general computing software is essential.
