Job Summary:
The University of Colorado is seeking a highly skilled Professional Research Assistant to support a new NIH R01 award in the Lampe Lab. This full-time position involves working with eukaryotic cell culture, qPCR, Western Blot, and general laboratory/biochemistry procedures.
Key Responsibilities:
- Cultivate and maintain human cell lines, including lung cells and hepatocytes.
- Prepare and maintain cultures under various conditions.
- Collect and prepare samples for protein and RNA extraction.
- Perform mRNA qPCR of bacterial and human gene expression.
- Analyze Western Blot data to quantify bacterial protein levels.
- Assist with laboratory organization and ordering procedures.
- Support student researchers with cell culture and sample preparation.
Work Environment:
This role is expected to work onsite at the University of Colorado's Aurora, CO location.
