Medical Nurse Specialist for Children's Residential Care

Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate medical nurse specialist to provide exceptional care to children and young adults with developmental and/or intellectual disabilities in our residential setting.
Estimated Salary Range: $27.50 - $32 per hour, depending on experience and qualifications.
About the Role
As a medical nurse specialist, you will be responsible for administering medications, monitoring client health, communicating with staff and families, and participating in interdisciplinary team meetings.
Responsibilities
- Administer medications, vaccinations, and TB serum as needed
- Monitor client health and report changes to physicians or nurse practitioners
- Communicate with staff and families about client needs and progress
- Participate in interdisciplinary team meetings and complete required training
Requirements
- Indiana nursing license as a Licensed Practical Nurse or Registered Nurse
- One year of experience working with neuropsychiatric or behavioral challenges preferred
- Knowledge of psychotropic medications and current trends in DD/ID population preferred
- Valid Indiana driver's license and driving record meeting eligibility requirements
Work Environment
You will work on our main residential campus, located in Indianapolis, IN, and be eligible for hourly premiums for night shifts and weekend shifts.
