The ideal candidate will be onsite at our Salem, MA office.
About the RoleThis experienced professional will develop, coordinate, and implement occupational health policies and procedures to ensure effective safety operations in the organization.
- They will ensure clerical staff maintain the OSHA safety log and other administrative requirements related to safety operations and regulations.
- Collaboration with management is essential to develop, prepare, and implement safety policies and procedures.
- Compliance with federal, state, and local safety laws, regulations, codes, and rules is crucial.
- Required OSHA recordkeeping and reporting must be completed on time.
- Technical and administrative support will be provided to the safety committee.
- Operations that could harm employees or equipment will be stopped immediately.
- The role involves identifying opportunities to minimize workplace injuries, accidents, and health problems.
- Conducting employee training on applicable safety standards is a key responsibility.
- Safety inspections and audits will be conducted regularly to assess employee compliance with safety regulations.
To excel in this position, you should have:
- Extensive knowledge of current company safety policies and applicable Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) standards.
- Osha 30 certification is highly desirable.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills are necessary.
- Ability to conduct training and educate employees on safety standards.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail are required.
- Effective supervisory and leadership skills are necessary for success.
- Proficiency in construction training software and Microsoft office 365 is expected.
