Position: Maintenance Manager

Location: Ossipee, NH

Role Summary:

The Maintenance Manager is responsible for overseeing and coordinating the activities of personnel involved in supporting a plastics manufacturing facility. This includes managing central maintenance operations, utility supply management (such as steam, electricity, water, and air), water treatment processes, and engineering inventory.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Establishes and implements programs and procedures that promote safe and environmentally responsible work practices to achieve high-quality outcomes at competitive cost levels.
  • Engages in initiatives aimed at continuous improvement in safety, health, and environmental standards.
  • Develops and manages budgets while monitoring financial performance.
  • Plans and supervises annual maintenance and boiler shutdowns.
  • Provides technical expertise for maintenance operations.
  • Coordinates and executes strategic capital expenditure projects.
  • Offers advisory support to the engineering team.
  • Ensures compliance with engineering standards and regulations.
  • Supports and manages maintenance staff during off-hours.
  • Facilitates necessary cultural changes within the organization.
  • Addresses personnel conflicts and ensures satisfaction among stakeholders.
  • Implements systems and tools to enhance understanding of maintenance costs and utility metrics in relation to overall reliability goals.
  • Oversees daily operations of the utility systems at the facility.
  • Conducts inspections and troubleshooting of equipment as required.
  • Manages inventory and procurement of maintenance materials and services.
  • Undertakes additional projects and responsibilities as assigned.

Qualifications:

Skills and Knowledge:

  • Extensive knowledge in areas such as industrial maintenance, electrical systems, boiler operations, welding, plumbing, and hydraulics.
  • Experience in budget management and financial reporting is preferred.
  • Ability to interpret technical documents, blueprints, and safety protocols.
  • Strong analytical skills to identify problems, gather data, and draw conclusions.
  • Proven ability to foster a collaborative team environment.
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills for diverse audiences.
  • Competence in basic mathematical calculations and data interpretation.
