About the Role

We're seeking a skilled Technical Program Manager to lead complex, multi-disciplinary projects from start to finish. As a key member of our Global Network Solutions team, you'll work with stakeholders to plan requirements, identify risks, and manage project schedules. Your technical expertise will be essential in communicating clearly with cross-functional partners across the company.

Responsibilities
  • Assist upstream planning and acquisition teams in developing infrastructure requirements, priorities, and delivery date expectations.
  • Manage the delivery of network infrastructure projects involving long-haul dark fiber, metro fiber, leased capacity/circuits, and inside plant fiber from inception through delivery.
  • Serve as primary vendor contact and escalate vendor management chains when delivery timelines are at risk.
  • Lead project status meetings while keeping downstream teams at Google aware of project and delivery statuses.
  • Oversee all vendor handover documentation, test results, and technical drawings while working with vendors and Google staff to coordinate record keeping and communication.
What We're Looking For

We're looking for a seasoned program manager with a strong background in telecommunications and network infrastructure. You'll have a Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience, with a minimum of 5 years of experience in program management. Experience working in the telecommunications industry, particularly in metropolitan/long-haul fiber network delivery and ISP/OSP construction, is essential. Additionally, you'll have experience with data center physical infrastructure design or construction, and preferred qualifications include experience managing cross-functional or cross-team projects, network planning and engineering, and fiber/colocation availability and scalability analysis.
