Job Summary

We are seeking a highly qualified and dedicated Full-Time Child Development Center Educator to join our team at the Roman Catholic Church Diocese of Houma-Thibodaux. As a key member of our staff, you will be responsible for providing a nurturing and educational environment for children from 1-year-old to 5-years-old.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement lesson plans that align with our approved curriculum and meet the needs of each child.
  • Establish a positive and respectful relationship with each child, promoting self-confidence, self-esteem, and self-discipline.
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and organized classroom environment, adhering to all licensing regulations and health standards.
  • Communicate effectively with parents and guardians, keeping them informed of their child's progress and daily activities.
  • Collaborate with other staff members to ensure a cohesive and supportive team environment.
  • Participate in ongoing professional development to enhance your skills and knowledge in early childhood education.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; prior experience in a daycare, Head Start, or school setting preferred.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion.
  • Must be able to pass a background check and obtain any necessary certifications or training.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with children, parents, and staff.
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule, including early morning and afternoon shifts.
