Job Summary:

As a Clinical Dietitian/Inpatient, you will play a vital role in assessing, developing, and implementing comprehensive nutrition care services for patients. Your expertise will ensure that patients receive tailored nutrition plans, and you will work closely with the medical team to provide informed nutritional guidance. Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement individualized nutrition care plans based on patient assessments and needs.
  • Counsel patients and their families on nutrition principles, dietary plans, and food selection to promote healthy eating habits.
  • Collaborate with the medical team to provide informed nutritional guidance and support.
  • Communicate patient nutrition data through accurate and timely record-keeping.
  • Participate in discharge planning and recommend post-discharge nutrition needs.
  • Stay up-to-date with current research and best practices in dietetics to ensure evidence-based care.
  • Develop and implement ongoing patient food quality surveys to maintain high standards of care.
  • Provide education and training to staff on nutrition-related topics.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in food and nutritional sciences or a related field.
  • Accredited Dietetic Internship (DI) by the American Dietetic Association (ADA).
  • Registered Dietitian (RD) certification from the American Dietetic Association.
  • Ability to effectively use resources for research and communicate with patients and staff.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • One year of experience as a clinical dietitian.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of and skill in word processing, spreadsheet, and database PC applications.
  • State of Hawaii License Dietitian (LD).
