Job Summary

NPower is seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Social Support Manager to join our team. As a key member of our organization, you will play a vital role in supporting the career development and well-being of young adults and veterans.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct comprehensive assessments to identify psychosocial barriers to career development and provide tailored support to our participants.
  • Develop and implement individualized service plans to address identified problem areas, including providing confidential counseling, referrals to community resources, and consultation with staff.
  • Evaluate and assess our service delivery system to ensure that participants receive the necessary support and resources.
  • Work closely with participants to maintain a trusting and nurturing environment, and engage with them regularly to promote their success.
  • Provide crisis intervention and support as needed, including on-call rotation.
  • Supervise, support, and assist participants through regular meetings, phone contact, and email communication.
  • Document progress and maintain accurate, complete, and up-to-date files on all participants.
  • Participate in record review and correction processes.
Requirements
  • A minimum of a four-year college degree in Social Work, Sociology, or Psychology from an accredited university, or a minimum of three years of Case Management, Social Work, Psychology, or Counseling experience.
  • Effective written, oral, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and exhibit mature judgment and emotional stability.
  • Computer literacy and proficiency with incorporating technology to deliver career services.
  • Experience in teaching, presenting workshops, and/or providing counseling to young adult populations is highly desirable.
