Fire Sprinkler Foreman Job Description

About the Role:

Pye-Barker Fire & Safety is seeking a highly skilled Fire Sprinkler Foreman to join our team. As a Fire Sprinkler Foreman, you will be responsible for the proper operation and maintenance of fire sprinkler systems, ensuring the safety of our customers and their properties.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct routine preventative maintenance on sprinkler fire systems to ensure they are functioning properly.
  • Service and inspect wet, dry, and pre-action systems to identify any issues or deficiencies.
  • Inspect, maintain, repair, or replace fire sprinkler equipment and systems in accordance with applicable codes and standards.
  • Interact with customers in a professional and courteous manner, providing excellent customer service.
  • Provide advanced technical assistance to team members and customers as needed.
  • Teach trade skills to advancing apprentices/helpers, helping to develop the next generation of fire safety professionals.
  • Complete detailed inspection reports, documenting any issues and reporting results of work completed in a timely manner.
  • Protect and maintain company equipment, including vehicles and tools.
  • Respond to emergency service calls, ensuring prompt and effective response to customer needs.

Requirements:

  • At least 5 years of experience with fire sprinkler systems, preferably in a commercial or residential setting.
  • Advanced working knowledge of NFPA 13 and NFPA 25 codes and standards.
  • Experience with commercial and residential fire sprinkler systems, including wet, dry, and pre-action systems.
  • Skilled operation of sprinkler trade equipment, including impact wrenches, band saws, measuring devices, and other specialized tools.
  • Excellent troubleshooting skills, with the ability to identify and resolve complex issues.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment and independently.
  • Valid driver's license and a clean driving record.
  • Flexibility with scheduling requirements, including evening, weekend, and out-of-town assignments.
