Our Corporate Finance team is seeking a dedicated and process-driven accounting professional to join us as a Consolidation Analyst. In this role, you will play a vital part in ensuring the accuracy and efficiency of our consolidated financial reporting processes within Planful.

Responsibilities:
  • Execute close-related tasks, including journal entries for consolidation and compiling comprehensive financial reporting packages.
  • Provide essential support to the Planful system, guaranteeing data integrity from subsidiary ERP systems and resolving any issues that arise during the close process.
  • Meticulously review data loads and templates submitted by subsidiaries, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and identification of operational trends.
  • Communicate monthly foreign exchange rates to both U.S. and international Finance teams.
  • Collaborate with U.S. and foreign Finance teams to understand accounting practices and consolidate their monthly reporting packages.
  • Complete quarterly and annual government surveys accurately and efficiently.
  • Develop and maintain Planful reports to enhance and streamline the reporting process continuously.
  • Administer the Planful database by managing system dimensions and hierarchies effectively.
  • Compile quarterly reporting packages for the Board of Directors and Audit Committee, ensuring clarity and completeness.
  • Prepare monthly reporting packages for upper management, providing timely and insightful financial information.
  • Provide comprehensive training to finance team members on utilizing the consolidation system and adapting to changes in the consolidation process.
  • Coordinate closely with external auditors and internal resources to ensure the timely and accurate delivery of audit schedules.
  • Take initiative on ad-hoc projects, including integrating new legal entities and improving the close process for greater efficiency.
  • Build strong relationships within various teams at IPG Photonics, including international controllers, U.S. Finance team, Sales, Purchasing, Legal, and IT, fostering a collaborative environment.
Requirements:
  • 3-5 years of accounting experience in financial close and/or consolidation processes. Experience with large, multinational organizations in the technology or manufacturing sectors is highly desirable.
  • Strong understanding of GAAP principles and financial reporting standards.
  • Proficiency in using Planful or similar consolidation software.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
