About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced insurance defense attorney to join our team at State Farm. As a member of our Ft. Lauderdale, Florida office, you will be responsible for handling complex insurance defense cases and working closely with our team to provide exceptional service to our customers.

Responsibilities

The selected candidate will have the opportunity to work on a variety of insurance defense cases, including civil trials and appeals. You will be expected to possess excellent research and writing skills, as well as strong oral advocacy skills. Additionally, you will need to be well-organized and able to independently manage a caseload with tight deadlines.

Requirements
  • A law degree from an ABA-accredited law school and excellent academic credentials
  • An active license to practice law in Florida and membership in good standing with the Florida Bar
  • At least 3 years of legal experience, preferably in insurance defense
  • Experience with jury trials and courtroom presentation
  • Strong automation and technological skills for lawsuit handling
  • Experience working in a paperless electronic environment
