Key Responsibilities- Develop and maintain laboratory standard operating procedures (SOPs)
- Order, operate, and maintain laboratory equipment and supplies
- Assist with budgeting and financial overviews
- Serve as Environmental Health and Safety contact for the lab
- Assign, coordinate, and supervise lab responsibilities for each individual lab
- Monitor team dynamics to ensure optimal laboratory performance
- Work with NYU Langone operations teams as the Ganesan lab liaison
To qualify, you must have a BS/MS in life sciences or a relevant field, with 2+ years of experience in biological experimental research. Prior experience with laboratory management/operations is required. Expertise with molecular biology, sterile, and cell culture techniques; FACS; and the operation of standard lab equipment is essential. Experience in genomic techniques and next-generation sequencing protocols is also required. Knowledge of computers and experience with databases is necessary. Exceptional organizational, time management, and critical thinking skills are essential. High-level initiative and the ability to work with little supervision are required. Excellent conflict resolution skills are necessary.
What We OfferNYU Langone Health provides a competitive salary range of $81,000 to $85,000 annually. We offer a comprehensive benefits package, including medical, dental, and vision insurance, as well as a 403(b) retirement plan.
