Registry Nursing Professional (RN)

We are excited to present an opportunity to join our team as a Registry Nursing Professional (RN) within the DuPage County healthcare system.


As a member of our Registry team, you will be expected to fulfill a minimum of eight (8) shifts each calendar month, with at least four (4) of those shifts occurring on weekends. Each shift will consist of eight (8) hours, and the total hours worked annually will not exceed 1,000 hours.


Your schedule will require you to work during:

  • One (1) major summer holiday: Memorial Day, Independence Day, or Labor Day.
  • One (1) major winter holiday: Thanksgiving Day, Christmas Day, or New Year's Day.
  • Two (2) additional County holidays: Martin Luther King Day, President's Day, Columbus Day, Veteran's Day, or the Day after Thanksgiving.

This position is part of the AFSCME (Care Center) Bargaining Unit.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Responding to residents' requests and providing necessary services.
  • Planning and coordinating individualized care plans for residents.
  • Administering medications and treatments as prescribed by healthcare providers.
  • Supervising and mentoring Nursing Aides in their routine duties.
  • Maintaining accurate records of narcotics and other medications.
  • Performing procedures such as catheterization and administering oxygen.
  • Communicating with families regarding residents' needs.
  • Ensuring compliance with documentation standards set by regulatory bodies.

Qualifications:

  • Completion of a Nursing diploma program from an accredited institution.
  • Current licensure as a Professional Registered Nurse (RN) in Illinois.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in wound care management.

A post-offer physical examination is required, along with a pre-employment background check.
