Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Registered Nurse to join our team at the Crisis Recovery Center. As a Nurse Specialist, you will play a critical role in providing high-quality patient care and support to individuals in crisis.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide nursing and case management services to patients in the Crisis Residential Program
  • Conduct nurse-to-nurse consultations for referrals to the Crisis Residential Program
  • Review medical documentation, including lab results and hospital discharge paperwork
  • Perform nursing assessments for patients admitted to the Crisis Residential Program
  • Assist in decision-making related to patient admissions and continued stays
  • Provide nursing support to prescribers and facilitate groups related to medications and medical issues
  • Assist patients with medication self-administration and ensure accurate medication lists and observation records
  • Collaborate with clinical staff to develop and implement integrated assessment and treatment plans
Requirements
  • Working knowledge of instructing others in treatments and practices
  • Working knowledge of making group presentations in health education
  • Working knowledge of maintaining medical documentation
  • Working knowledge of delegating and assigning work to others
  • Working knowledge of analyzing client needs
  • Working knowledge of verbal and written communication
  • Working knowledge of developing and maintaining positive and professional relationships with internal and external customers
  • Working knowledge of operating a personal computer, applicable software, and peripheral equipment
Education and Experience
  • Completion of an Associate's degree or Bachelor's degree in Nursing and two years of nursing experience
  • Current Registered Nurse license from the State of Illinois and Bachelor's degree in Nursing preferred
