We are excited to present a position for a Clinical Nurse Specialist (CNS) at DuPage County, IL. This role is essential in delivering high-quality nursing care and treatment to our residents, adhering to the established standards and regulations of the nursing profession under the guidance of a Nurse Supervisor or Head Nurse.
This position is part of the AFSCME (Care Center) Bargaining Unit.
Key Responsibilities:
- Addressing residents' inquiries and providing necessary services
- Developing and coordinating individualized care plans for residents
- Administering medications and treatments as prescribed by healthcare providers
- Overseeing and mentoring Nursing Aides in their daily nursing tasks
- Keeping precise records of medications and supplies
- Performing procedures such as catheterization, administering oxygen, and providing wound care
- Communicating with families regarding residents' needs
- Ensuring documentation meets regulatory compliance for reimbursement and health standards
Qualifications:
- Completion of a nursing diploma program from an accredited institution
- Valid Professional Registered Nurse (RN) license in Illinois
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in wound care management
A physical examination post-offer is mandatory.
A background check prior to employment is required.
