Job Summary

Truman Medical Centers is seeking a skilled Mental Health Technician to join our Inpatient Behavioral Health team. As a key member of our team, you will provide high-quality patient care and support to individuals with mental health needs.

Responsibilities
  • Provide direct patient care and support to individuals with mental health needs
  • Assist with daily living activities, such as ambulation, feeding, and personal care
  • Monitor patient behavior and report any concerns to the nursing staff
  • Participate in treatment planning and implementation
  • Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to provide comprehensive care
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • BCLS certification within 120 days of hire
  • Clearance through the Family Care Registry
  • Completion of training as directed through orientation and/or by Leadership, Management or Educators
  • Department orientation with classroom and clinical training equivalent to Unlicensed Assistive Personnel regulations
Preferred Qualifications
  • Previous experience in patient care, including assistance with daily living activities
  • Previous mental health experience
  • BCLS certification
