Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Mental Health Technician to join our team at Truman Medical Centers. As a Mental Health Technician, you will play a critical role in providing high-quality patient care and support to individuals with mental health needs.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide direct care and support to patients with mental health needs, including assistance with daily living activities and emotional support.
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement individualized care plans.
  • Monitor patient behavior and report any changes or concerns to nursing staff.
  • Participate in training and education programs to enhance skills and knowledge in mental health care.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • BCLS certification within 120 days of hire.
  • Clearance through the Family Care Registry.
  • Completion of training as directed through orientation and/or by Leadership, Management or Educators in the established timeline for continued employment.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Previous experience in patient care, including assistance with ambulation, feeding, and other activities of daily living.
  • Previous mental health experience.
