Job Title: Mental Health Technician

Join our team at Truman Medical Centers as a Mental Health Technician, providing exceptional care to patients in our Inpatient Behavioral Health department.

About the Role:

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated individual to support our mental health team. As a Mental Health Technician, you will work closely with our licensed professionals to provide patient care, assist with daily activities, and promote a safe and supportive environment.

Responsibilities:
  • Assist patients with daily living activities, such as bathing, dressing, and feeding
  • Provide emotional support and comfort to patients and their families
  • Assist with medication administration and documentation
  • Participate in patient care conferences and treatment planning
  • Maintain a clean and safe environment, adhering to infection control protocols
Requirements:
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • BCLS certification within 120 days of hire
  • Clearance through the Family Care Registry
  • Completion of training as directed through orientation and/or by Leadership, Management or Educators
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Previous experience in patient care or mental health
  • BCLS certification
